Motherless is a book by Mira Marcin\u00f3w that was published in 2020 by Publication House Czarne<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A queenless bee is a bee colony without a queen mother. Its chances of surviving on its own are slim and only an experienced beekeeper can do something about it. Bees without a queen start to behave chaotically and self-destructively. Losing the link that binds them together, they also lose their basic instincts, including the survival instinct. All ties linking them fall down and functions previously performed are disrupted. Most often such bees die.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And the people? What do you call a human family devoid of a mother?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her book, Mira Marcin\u00f3w describes the relationship between daughter and mother. In these relationships, the mother always remains the archetypal mother, regardless of the addictions and passions that consume her, of the functions and dysfunctions she performs, or even of her ontological state: life, illness or death. The need for a mother is immanent for the daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the main character of the book is longing. The author uses all possible means of expression to show it. It is a longing sung, recited, enumerated, whispered and shouted. It is a longing painted with emotions and endless. Infinite and unfinished, it will last as long as the daughter, its main carrier, lives, because in this case the death of the mother is not the end, but only another stage in their mutual relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And back to the bees, an experienced beekeeper advises: “PS: We always try to reunite such families because they won’t survive the winter!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A ludzie? Jak nazwa\u0107 ludzk\u0105 rodzin\u0119 pozbawion\u0105 matki?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mira Marcin\u00f3w w swojej ksi\u0105\u017cce opisuje relacje c\u00f3rki i matki. W tych relacjach matka zawsze pozostaje archetypiczn\u0105 matk\u0105, niezale\u017cnie od trawi\u0105cych j\u0105 na\u0142og\u00f3w i nami\u0119tno\u015bci, od pe\u0142nionych przez ni\u0105 funkcji i dysfunkcji, ani nawet od stanu ontologicznego: \u017cycia, choroby czy \u015bmierci. Potrzeba posiadania matki jest dla c\u00f3rki immanentna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jednak g\u0142\u00f3wnym bohaterem ksi\u0105\u017cki jest t\u0119sknota. Autorka do jej pokazania u\u017cywa wszelkich mo\u017cliwych \u015brodk\u00f3w wyrazu. Jest to t\u0119sknota \u015bpiewana, recytowana, wyliczana, szeptana i wykrzyczana. Jest to t\u0119sknota malowana emocjami i niesko\u0144czona. Niesko\u0144czona i niedoko\u0144czona, b\u0119dzie trwa\u0107 dop\u00f3ki \u017cyje c\u00f3rka, jej g\u0142\u00f3wny no\u015bnik, bo w tym wypadku \u015bmier\u0107 matki nie jest zako\u0144czeniem, a jedynie kolejnym etapem w ich wzajemnej relacji.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
